Friday, February 28th dawned a new and exciting day for the employees of TopForm Software. After much preparatory work, TopForm moved into its new office space. Although the new facility is just across the road from the old, they are worlds apart. For starters, the increased square footage meant larger, more efficient space. All of the modular work-stations were also upgraded as a result of the move. We took this opportunity to try to bring together all of the support staff organized by their area of responsibility, "I just love my new space, said Charline Chupp, "and I have learned so much by having more convenient access the other members of the Web.ec support team. Due to the fact the building was built in front of a large lake, the views from the 2nd floor level are very scenic. "I've always had a very nice office," said Julie Pritchard, "It's great that the rest of our employees now have such nice surroundings. The quality-of-life for the entire staff has really been upgraded." Anthony Mullins, TopForm's Sales Manager, commented that, "Our offices are brighter, roomier, and more accommodating for customers and prospects to visit. Everyone has been really impressed so far." The additional space has also meant a larger room to house the many computer servers TopForm runs and maintains. Much of the hardware is stored on "racks" that provide additional space and ease for the Technical Support staff to do their work. Fred Phillips, Manager of Technical Services, said, "With the miles of computer cabling that had to be routed through our server room, it sure has made our jobs easier to work in a such a spacious environment." Moving into a new facility also gave us a chance to upgrade our Training Facility hardware. This should be an exciting move for our present-day TopForm customers who are looking for additional training as well as our ongoing new customers that will be training on TopForm for the first time. Fifteen brand-new, Pentium IV PC's have been installed. We have also added a Wireless Network in the Training Facility with T1 broadband access to the Internet. The wireless network has also given several TopForm employees the opportunity to use wireless technology for their laptops. Bob Behzadi of Technical Services mentioned, "The new hardware, wireless technology and permanently mounted projector provide for a state-of-the-art classroom for TopForm users. The fast processor speeds should help users speed through the new Graphical User Interface screens." The upgraded office space has also been created a more productive environment for the Programming staff. Keith McBride, Vice President of Research & Development, has an expanded office with conference and data projection equipment. "We consistently meet as a team to survey how development projects are progressing so we can channel our energies in the areas that need it. It has been helpful and less disruptive to conduct these meetings right in the R & D wing. All we need now is YOU! Noel Choquette and Steven Grimes of Enosis Graphical Services became the first TopForm customers to be trained in the new facility as they continue to enhance their Web.ec tool.
