“What Order Processing parameter must be answered in order to receive warnings during order entry for past due invoices?"
Answer: To receive warnings during order entry for past due invoices, you must first set the flag in your Order Processing Parameters, Screen II. Look for the following question and enter a “P” for Past Due.

The TopForm Contact Management software interfaces with Microsoft Word for letter writing and envelope and label printing. First you will need to set up your templates. There are three basic actions.
- Create a new folder called TopForm in the following folder on your PC. This is a one-time setup for each PC. Then your templates as *.dot files in this folder.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates
- Create your letters in Microsoft Word.
- Third, you will need to use the mail merge features of Word and
WordLink.
From “Tools” choose “Mail Merge”,

| Click create and then choose from the list of template types. |
| Under Data Source you will select “Get Data” then “Open Data Source”. You will use your drop down window to find the “tmpset.txt” file under your TopForm Data directory (tf2d). Note that the “tmpset.txt” file is a text file. You will need to set your file type to text files to be able to select it. |

After selecting “tmpset.txt” you select “edit your main document.”
In the upper left corner of Microsoft Word you will see the option “Insert Merge Field”.
The list shown in the illustration to the right represents the fields in Contact Management
that are currently available for mail merge. Select the fields you wish to have
merged into the current document. For your convenience, we have provided an attachment that
includes all of the mail merge fields that would be a part of a typical letter.

After you have completed your template you will save the document in your TopForm folder you created
in Step 1.
You are now ready to use WordLink in Contact Management.
After creating a profile or selecting a contact, select your WordLink tab.
In the template drop down box you will be able to see your templates that you have created. Select the appropriate template and click on the word button. This will bring up your letter in Microsoft Word and replace the mail merge fields with the data from your active contact or from all of the contacts in your profile.
Please note that if you are using the profile to create multiple documents, you enter a list type and then go directly to the word link tab as is shown above.

| To better assist our customers, we have purchased a new AIX Version 5 license and an additional RS6000 for testing TopForm and all related 3rd party products. After completion we will forward you a checklist of procedures that we suggest you follow to ensure a successful upgrade. Our support department should be contacted before the update is performed so that we can schedule personnel to be available if needed. When scheduling, keep in mind that once ordered from IBM, your AIX upgrade may take as long as 3-4 weeks for delivery. |
Installations for the Graphical User Interface (GUI) began on May 17th, this is on a first come first serve basis. This is a free upgrade (other than a nominal per user installation charge) for all customers who are current on annual support. Contact Jean Dudek at 800-448-1484 for scheduling. |
